If you think the days of Mac versus Windows, let alone Android versus iPhone were tribal, then you should have been around in the early days of micro computers (AKA home computers, and eventually Personal Computers, of the ‘PC’).
I knew grown men much older (and more well off) than me, adherents to the Apricot computer, who would refer to Apple as ‘the other fruit flavoured computers’.
Commodore ruled the roost, and this is the story of its founder.
I think there’s value in knowing there history of the machines and technologies that have so shaped the modern world. I hope you enjoyed what was a walk down memory lane for me, though ancient history for most tin our industry these days!
